Trapeze iPhone Application
The Trapeze iPhone application is a native downloadable Apple iPhone (and iPod Touch) application. It is an extension to the INFO-Web application and environment. The application enables public transport passengers to plan trips and access real-time route, bus stop and other critical transit information via their iPhone.
The application is comprised of four components: Home, Trip Plan, Routes and Stops.
Home
The home screen for the application is a flexible home page that loads HTML from a file or a web server to allow the agency to dynamically change and control the content of this page without having to re-post the application to the Apple store. These pages are scrollable and can include static information such as fare structure, contact information or information on how to use the application.
Trip Plan
The trip plan screen for the application is used to generate a trip plan by using a start and end location, departure date and time and other options to control the trip plan results that are being requested. After entering an origin, destination, time/date and options, the trip plan results are displayed and include the ability to see the trip plan on the map.
Routes
The routes functionality allows customers to search by route name or number, direction and date to create customised headways. Stops are selected and timetables are dynamically displayed.
Stops
The stops functionality allows customers to search by stop number/name or GPS position to display the arrivaland departure times of vehicles at selected stops.
