Trapeze Launches Subsidiary in Spain

New company will serve Spanish passenger transport industry

September 8, 2003 (Århus, Denmark)--Trapeze Software Europe announced today that it has formed a new subsidiary to serve its growing client base in Spain.

Based in Madrid, Trapeze Software España will provide planning, operations and passenger information systems to Spanish passenger transport organizations including bus, rail and tram, fixed route, special needs and demand response transport.

“The Spanish passenger transport sector is at a very exciting stage”, explains Niels Noerskov, manager of Trapeze Software España. “There have been widespread structural and organizational changes, including opening some transport to competition and innovative developments in providing new, more responsive services to passengers.”

Trapeze is a global supplier with more than 1,400 installations in Europe and North America. Trapeze systems are used by small and large public organizations and private companies to deliver a wide range of services. “We can offer our Spanish customers more than 25 years of experience in making transport providers more efficient, more productive and more responsive to the needs of their passengers,” Mr. Noerskov says.

“We are already working with our first client in Spain. Establishing a Spanish company lies within our strategy to establish close relationships with our customers in the markets we operate in.

“Trapeze will be looking for experienced transport professionals to fill management, customer service and implementation positions and for local partners with which we can work to deliver our proven, comprehensive systems,” Mr. Noerskov says.
