Sacramento Regional Transit District Selects Trapeze

System includes scheduling and customer response management software

JANUARY 9, 2003 (SCOTTSDALE, AZ) – Trapeze Software announced today it has been awarded a contract to provide software for Sacramento RT’s Transportation Efficiency and Accessibility Management System (TEAMS).

Sacramento will use Trapeze FX for advanced fixed route scheduling, rostering, route definition, trip building and blocking.

The agency will also use Trapeze Blockbuster for its advanced runcutting needs and Trapeze OPS for transit operations management. The Trapeze INFO product will be deployed to help Sacramento RT manage its customer feedback.

“The Sacramento RT staff is looking forward to working with the Trapeze team to implement this extensive software,” said Doug Wentworth, the Director of Planning and Scheduling for Sacramento RT. “We are optimistic that this software product will greatly help us to improve our efficiency in the deployment of transit service resources.”

Sacramento RT operates 77 bus routes with a fleet of 225 vehicles covering more than 9-million miles annually. The light rail service has 36 vehicles and spans over a 20 mile radius. The Sacramento RT customer service center answers more than 429,000 calls each year.
