Madison Metro Chooses Trapeze for Web-based Transit Information
SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA -Trapeze Software has been awarded a contract by Madison Metro Transit System, Madison, WI to deliver a web-based customer information system for the agency’s fixed route services.
Madison Metro’s customers will be able to go to the agency’s web site and enter the details of their intended trip, using a street address, intersection or landmark for origin or destination. Trapeze Info-Web will generate an itinerary, walking distances, transfers, maps and bus schedules that can be viewed or printed.
As part of the Trapeze integrated suite of products, Info-Web will use transit data from Trapeze components already implemented at Madison Metro, which include FX for defining bus stops and routes, and INFO-Agent, an itinerary lookup system for call-center agents.
“The ability to share data reduces data redundancy, and improves accuracy by providing real time information,” explains Trapeze President, Rick Bacchus. “Info-Web is able to generate consistent itinerary plan options that are the same as what a call center agent would provide using our Info-Agent product.” The target live date is September 30th.
