Trapeze Releases New Versions of School Software

Trapeze Fleet and School-Trip offer new features to improve efficiency

APRIL 5, 2002 (BEACHWOOD, OHIO) – Trapeze Software today announced new releases of its popular Fleet and School-Trip applications.

Trapeze Fleet, a leading vehicle and yard management application will now support warranty tracking for parts to ensure school districts and commercial operators are able to manage and research warranted parts. “School transportation operates on very tight budgets, so it’s important to our customers that they manage warranties and know what parts are covered, for how long they are covered and when they can make a warranty claim”, explains Steven McKinley, Operations Manager for Trapeze school products.

“This version of Fleet lets them specify the warranty period when they enter a part and, when it needs replacing, the software scans the entire parts history and displays all the parts under warranty by number. It will also display them by category in case a part number has changed.” Users can also view work order history that shows the vendor invoice number under which the old and new parts were purchased and then print out a form to help them with the warranty process.

Trapeze School-Trip software, which helps manage and schedule school outings, now offers tools for automatically assigning drivers. Two new fields allow transportation staff to see when an individual driver was last assigned to a trip, and to automatically assign them and update the driver records. The software also allows school districts to use a points system to automatically assign drivers based on criteria such as miles driven, overtime, number of declined trips and seniority.
