Stagecoach Chooses Trapeze

LEAMINGTON SPA, WARWICKSHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM -

Transport giant Stagecoach has concluded a major contract with Trapeze Software Group to provide a scheduling and service planning system for its UK bus fleet.

The Canada-based Trapeze Software Group, which specializes in people transportation software, will supply comprehensive routing systems for Stagecoach's 7,500 strong UK bus fleet.

Trapeze won the contract following a successful three-month pilot scheme. Providing best practice transport routing solutions based on GIS, the system incorporates advanced planning and optimization.

Employing fixed route operations Trapeze-FX and Trapeze-BlockBuster packages along with Trapeze-PLAN for service planning and ridership analysis, Trapeze will ultimately serve Stagecoach's UK bus companies via a Wide Area Network.
