Wokingham Borough Council Aim to Save with Trapeze

Wiltshire, UK | April 18 2011

Wokingham Borough Council recently went live this month with an automated scheduling solution from Trapeze called NOVUS for Demand Response (NOVUS).

The transport department aim to make savings in the Social Care and SEN by using NOVUS with their existing Trapeze ROUTEWISE system. This offers real-time, street-based routing based on the least cost provider improving options for travel at the most effective cost.

From call taking to dispatching, the browser-based dispatch software is an easy-to-use application for many aspects of Wokingham’s operations. Rebecca Coleman, the Senior Contacts Officer at Wokingham said, “The new NOVUS system is live and we are looking forward to being able to plan and coordinate services more efficiently across the transport operations.”

Trapeze scheduling solutions are used in over 60 UK local authorities and have saved upwards of 10% of the annual transport budgets for education and social transport services.
