Public Transport Superheroes Recognised at Trapeze’s UK Conference

Staverton, UK | November 24, 2015

At the recent UK Conference, Trapeze undertook the task of unearthing the nation’s public transport superheroes: those – often unsung – individuals who work each day to deliver mobility and transport services for those in their community.

With nominations received from Trapeze clients around the country, winners were formally announced during the Trapeze UK Conference in Birmingham. Tim Porter, Executive Director of Trapeze in the UK, who presented the trophies to the winners, commented:

“In what has been a challenging time for the public transport industry, it is important to recognise the hard work and exceptional innovation taking place around the country. We were delighted to receive so many fantastic nominations for our superheroes competition, and it is inspiring to see how these talented individuals are facing the industry’s challenges and turning them into opportunities. With such talent on board the future of our industry is very bright indeed.”

The award winners were: Tower Transit’s Samantha Phillips, Cofely’s Lesley Jamieson; and Pat Hughes and Laura Oversby from National Express West Midlands. More information on the awards – including full profiles of all those nominated – can be found at
