Stream of Trapeze smartphone projects continues with official airport app

The Trapeze mobile technology team has completed its second smartphone app for London Stansted, launching a major new Android service to complement the existing iPhone app.

One of the most feature-rich airport apps available, the service includes comprehensive multi-modal travel information using dynamic feeds of air, rail, bus, tube and taxi information. Drivers can save time and money by pre-booking car parking. Users can also check their flight status, look up information on shops and restaurants, see car hire options, review up-to-date security and baggage policies, and get assistance for people with mobility difficulties.

Together the Android and iPhone apps give a large proportion of smartphone owners the ideal multi-purpose tool for making the most of London Stansted, whether planning a trip, catching a plane, or driving friends and relatives to the airport. The apps give both London Stansted and its travellers the confidence of being an official, accurate, reliable source of information.

The new app is free to download from the Android Market – search for London Stansted or go directly to https://market.android.com/details?id=com.trapeze.stansted&feature=search_result. The original iPhone version is available in the Apple App Store. Combined downloads stand at over 50,000.
